Hampshire County Council have launched a scheme to help victims of domestic violence stay in their homes rather than go to a refuge.
If you have been a victim of domestic violence, why should you then have to go to a refuge? It is scary, unsettling and inconvenient.
This scheme should help peoplpe stay in their homes by providing better support to more famlies.
Nicola Whitley, specialist in domestic violence matters says, “Refuges are vital when people are in danger and they provide brilliant short term protection but being able to stay at home and keep everyone settled has got to be better, surely?”
