Best known as Haley from Modern Family, Sarah Hyland had received “vile, threatening and emotionally disturbing texts and voice mails including his own suicide threats” from her ex-boyfriend. The court papers also stated that he had “physically and verbally abused her for the last four years”.
The reports stated that he allegedly threw a lighter at Hyland, who also claimed he threatened to set one of her homes on fire and told her she would never see her dog again.

Nicola Whitley, specialist in domestic abuse says, “It is shocking that someone who we know as such a sweet character has been a victim of something so awful. However, it goes to show that abuse is widespread and happens to everyone what ever their status in life. Rich, poor, young or old, from LA to Havant, abuse can happen to anyone. The message here is don’t suffer in silence”.
